Description
I have some new flooding in my back yard. There is an old box with pipes from when there used to be an old water tower and water lines went to Shorewood on our property. In 2012 I flagged down Dave Hart who kindly came and looked at the box that was left behind and he provided maps from 1982, 1990 and 2011. The pipes only appear on the later maps. He told us the pipes had been decommissioned year ago and we could safely fill in the 5 ft hole. We have young kids in the back yard and it was a safety concern. We filled in the hole with just some dirt about a month ago and now we are experiencing some pretty severe yard flooding. We also have standing water on the hole and water moving. I am not sure if the pipes were in fact fully dormant...
