This is especially dangerous because of the number of young children that play in this area. In the past 7 years the number of houses in Parkwood has spiked from 1 to 13 (and that does not take into account addition children that often ride bikes though the neighborhood to reach adjoining streets and visiting friends who live in this area). Most long time residents and workers may not realize that the make up of the neighborhood has changed so drastically. Now fully 25% of homes have preschool and elementary school kids who are very active in the neighborhood. \n\nI am requesting the portable speed gun cart be put in place for the benefit of all, to remind individuals how fast they are actually traveling in the 25 mph zone. I believe that a reminder to delivery/work trucks, new drivers, and experienced drivers alike would be beneficial to help prevent an avoidable accident from occurring.
