This spot carries heavy daily traffic from two parking garages and a major adjacent building, so the cover is hit dozens of times per hour. The noise has become progressively worse over the past few weeks and is clearly audible inside nearby units. It appears the lid is loose or not sitting flush in the frame and likely needs inspection, adjustment, or shimming for safety and noise control.
