Description
The speed zone for the stretch of road on Island Crest Way (south of SE 68th) is 25 MPH. Both the trajectory and location promote most drivers to exceed this creating a risk to humans, pets and wildlife. Additionally, this stretch of road fosters frequent late night street racing as it appears more isolated. There is also a school bus stop at the intersection of Island Crest and SE 72nd that accelerates the risk. Additionally, there is a school bus stop at the corner of 72nd and Isl Crest that is an incremental risk to children.
