I am writing to express a significant traffic safety concern at this location and to request the installation of a convex mirror to improve visibility.\n\nAt the intersection, there is a steep downhill slope on SE 32nd Street leading to Island Crest Way. The visibility for vehicles merging onto Island Crest Way from SE 32nd Street is severely limited due to obstructions on both sides. Compounding this issue, vehicles on Island Crest Way tend to travel at high speeds, making it challenging for drivers merging from SE 32nd Street to safely assess oncoming traffic.\n\nA convex mirror placed on the opposite side of Island Crest Way would greatly enhance safety by allowing drivers descending SE 32nd Street to see oncoming traffic before reaching the main road. This would help prevent sudden stops and potential collisions.\n\nI kindly request that the city evaluate this location for a possible mirror installation or any other safety measures that could improve visibility and traffic safety.
