{"acknowledged_at":"2024-01-09T01:55:52-05:00","address":"8000 N Mercer Way Mercer Island, WA, 98040, USA","closed_at":"2024-01-13T00:11:01-05:00","comment_url":"https://seeclickfix.com/api/v2/issues/15848334/comments","created_at":"2024-01-09T01:55:41-05:00","description":"Pedestrians wishing to get from the area north of SE 24th St to the bus stops (and future Link station) by the park-and-ride currently must take a long \"detour\" around the park-and-ride's surrounding roads, which adds several hundred meters and several minutes to what is otherwise a very close transit node.\n\nThis discourages transit use by making the bus stops on the southern side of the park-and-ride artificially distant to walk to - pedestrians are currently forced to walk all the way around the park-and-ride instead of being able to take a direct path through this structure.\n\nThis is a request to open at least one pedestrian \"shortcut\" through the pictured northern wall of the park-and-ride on SE 24th St. Such a \"shortcut\" would significantly reduce the time it takes to walk from this neighborhood to the bus stops and vice versa.
