The irrigation was not set up to adequately water new trees and there was no deep watering which is essential. Two large Katsura at the entrance to the park are also dead due to lack of water. Why are we watering the lawn but not our valuable trees? Who is determining what gets watered? Many other vine maples in the park have also died due to lack of water.
