The old configuration had a sidewalk to the edge of 81st.  Now people who are turning right need to either walk over dirt/grass (whatever will be there) or dangerously dart into the road to get around the dirt/grass.  This is especially dangerous because there is a bike lane to to the left of this photo and I am highly concerned that people who are turning right onto 81st Ave SE will not stop and look behind them before walking out into the road, as I did without thinking right after I took this photo!  This is a perfect set up for a bike/car-pedestrian collision.
